Old Garden is a classic cocktail from Denmark. Its first apperance was on the half island of Falster and thereby slowely spread beyond the great danish land
The cocktail has unfortunally been forgotten by many. It's mostly in it's birthcounty of Lolland and Falster that you may find a couple of apperances
We will change that! Therefore, we have balanced it better, so that it is not so sweet and artificial in the taste.
Here are our cocktailrecipe and a guide, so you without hassle can make it in your kitchen for your next cocktailparty
Do you love Old Garden? Or do you know a fan?
Then just share the cocktail recipe!
Make sure you've purchased everything on our list, or at least have a good alternative to what you're missing.
Find your Cocktail Shaker.
Pour Vodka, Banana Liqueur and Sugar Syrup into it.
Fresh squeeze orange juice and pour into the shaker if you want to make it like us.
Alternatively orange juice from the grocery store.
Fresh squeeze lime juice and pour into the shaker.
Fill the shaker up with ice cubes.
- Close the cocktail shaker properly so you can shake it without it dripping.
Now you shake it, like your Tom Cruise. Smile and give it your all
- Open the shaker and pour the content into your glass. Then fill it up with ice cubes.
Garnish the cocktail with umbrellas, orange slices or dried bananas. You can also do as we do in the video. Ice pieces and dried flowers.
- Now you just have to toast with your guests. If you have no guests around then drink it yourself. Cheers!

Cocktail tips from us
You can easily twist The Old Garden Cocktail. Here are a few suggestions.
Try replacing orange juice with mango juice, passion fruit juice or another juice.
You can also replace vodka with rum, or replace banana liqueur with another syrup / liqueur.
When you twist it, name it after your twist. Or after yourself. A cool name is definitely in its place.
